| BITS was founded by Rick Bassett in 2001
to provide both business and technology expertise to his
clients.
Rick had spent over 15 years running his former company,
Bassett Computer Systems, Inc., which he sold in August 2000.
During those years Rick consulted to over 800 businesses on
hardware, software, business practices, automated marketing,
sales force automation, Internet initiatives, network
integration and business communications.
The experience of being a very successful Computer VAR (Value
Added Reseller) for many years has given BITS the added
perspective of understating both sides of the technology
equation.
What we have learned is that the goals of Computer VARs are
usually very different than those of the client. VARs often have
to meet product sales quota's to keep their expensive technical
talent as billable as possible while often working with
untested/buggy cutting edge technology in live production
environments. Clients need to get their issues resolved in
a quick, efficient and cost effective manner. |
